SCHOLARSHIP

PURPOSE

The purpose of this scholarship program is to provide a one-time award of $1,000 to a qualifying high school senior who will be attending their first year of college and pursuing a degree in a Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) related field. To qualify for this scholarship, the applicant must attend Bastrop High School.

Selection Process

Recipients of the Richard P. Hall Eagles Foundation, Inc. STEM Scholarship will be selected by the Scholarship Committee.

Selection Criteria

The winner of the Richard P. Hall Eagles Foundation, Inc. STEM Scholarship will be selected based upon the following criteria:

  • Official high school transcript from the previous fall semester (15 points)
  • Extracurricular activities/leadership roles within the community or church (20 points)
  • One letter of recommendation – one each from the candidate’s principal, a previous or current teacher, and one from a community representative (15 points)
  • Candidate phone interview with Foundation Director (20 points)
  • A one page essay outlining the candidate’s future goals and ambitions in STEM field and how the scholarship will help him/her achieve their goals (30 points)

The student’s Scholarship Application and requested documentation must be received via email to latessa@eaglessoar.co by Friday, April 29, 2022.
