We are pleased to introduce our two (2) 2021 Richard P. Hall Eagles Foundation Bastrop High School STEM $1,000 Scholarship recipients. Tya A. Brandon graduated 4th in her class and excelled as a scholar student leader who also purposed to make an impactful difference in serving others. Ms. Brandon aspired to be a Registered Nurse (RN) and will matriculate at the University of Louisiana at Monroe in the Bachelor of Science Nursing Program. Tya is a first generation college student who is humbled and committed to starting the family legacy of college graduates.
Sha’Kirra German is our second recipient. Sha’Kirra graduated in the top 10% of her class and is a shining star amongst her peers. In and out of the classroom Sha’Kirra excelled and will pursue for childhood dreams to be a professional in the world of dentistry. In the fall, Sha’Kirra will attend Southern University at Shreveport where she will earn her Associate of Applied Science Degree in Dental Hygiene and take the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination and Regional Clinical Board to become a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH).
Both Tya and Sha’Kirra will continue to soar in STEM and do great things.
The scholarships were presented at the Bastrop High Seniors Awards Program by retired United States Air Force Colonel Clifton Jackson, a 1975 Bastrop High School Graduate, friend and classmate of Richard P. Hall.
