Aviation Expo

2025 AVIATION EXPO RECAP

Sharing our foundation praise as Richard’s legacy made a profound impact on the fruits of our partnership with Mayor Messam in producing our 8th Annual Aviation at the Miramar Regional Park Amphitheater. On Friday, we welcomed 2700 Broward Public School, Charter and Homeschool Students for a hands on and engaging experience showcasing the vastness of career opportunities in the field of aviation, and yesterday was 2,000+ community participants. American Airlines Pilots, Flight Attendants, Mechanics, and Tech Ops Crew inspired students, along with aviators from the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals and the Latino Professionals in Aerospace. Students exchanged with the Broward Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Coast Guard helicopters pilots who flew in. Many new student touchpoints this year. I had a couple of parents on Saturday. I had a couple of parents whose kids are now interested in robotics after watching the VEX Robotics competition at The Expo. That is success!

The LEGO Build of the NASA Space Shuttle Carrier Boeing “747” Aircraft, led by master builders Briana H. and David C. and student team challenges with 3 aviation play set, was a hit. We gave away 2 Free Discovery Flights to a Florida Memorial Univ Student Pilot and a passionate female 7th grader who aspires to be a pilot. Grateful to have Briana and Richard’s Mentee Captain Vaughn Campbell, KC-135 Pilot, fly in and shine for HIM🙌🏾🛫👨🏽‍✈️❣️
